Tony Bloom appeared in television
poker tournaments Late Night Poker
and got to the final table in theWorld Poker
Tour (WPT). He also got to the
final tables of the Poker Millions first events.
His biggest victory was on January of 2004 when he won the
Australasian Poker Championship at Melbourne, taking home the first
prize of 320.000 dollars. He also got fourth at the World Series of
PokerTournament of Champions on 2005, where he was
eliminated by Phil Hellmuth who said he felt a great respect for
Bloom's game.
Bloom was member of the British team winner of the Poker Nations
Cup. He is considered one of the most popular poker players
in the professional poker circuits and
considers Mike Sexton as his favorite player.
By the year 2008, his winnings in
live poker tournaments were over
1.5 million dollars. Tony Bloom was about to win the prize of 1
million dollars in the IX Poker Million
event which took place in London on December 10th of 2010. He got
second after Gus Hansen.
