When Cindy was 21 years old she started to work as a blackjack
and poker
croupier, playing only in her spare time. In 1985, she
signed up for a $ 1.000 Limit Seven Card Stud poker tournament and
she won $75K, more than enough to launch her
professional poker career.
Then, she stayed away from
poker
for a while because she started a family. In 1990 she went back to
poker tables winning the Caesars Palace tournament and took home
$62K. In 1993 she moved with her family to Atlantic City.
In her website, professional
poker player Cindy talks about her moving and says:
"I bought a very nice house in the Atlantic City area and I kept it
as my personal heaven, a place which could be a permanent home for
myself and my transformational books and tapes. A sanctuary where I
could relax and enjoy my life as well as my passion for vegetarian
cooking".
With the years Cindy has become into one of the best players. In
2004 she won a World Series of Poker bracelet by winning the $2.000 Seven
Card Stud Hi-Lo event and taking home a prize of $136K. Cindy's
total winnings in live
poker competitions exceed the
$1.2 million.
