Ron Rose is a professional poker player who was born in the United States in
1944 and has won the World Poker Tour twice, plus one bracelet in
the World Series of Poker. Before he started playing poker
professionally, Ron was a mathematician and worked in an
engineering project for the United States Air Force.
Rose started playing poker when he
was 6 years old. He won his first bracelet in the World Series of
Poker in 2003 after beating 3,777 opponents in the No Limit Hold'em
event, taking home a total of 130,060 dollars. He tried to become
the first senior to win the event twice, but he was in sixth place
in the WSOP in 2006, beating 1,184 opponents in the poker
tournament.
In November 2002, Rose ended sixth in the WPT World Poker Finals event in Foxwoods.
In 2003, Rose won the World Poker Challenge poker tournament of the
World Poker Tour in Reno, where he defeated TJ Cloutier in the
poker table.
His greatest victory was winning in the 2004 inaugural poker
tournament of the World
Poker Tour, Battle of Champions, which was broadcasted by the NBC.
Rose defeated all the winners of the first WPT, including Howard
